Has Yellowjackets gotten to weird to be good?

Interesting - I've heard people rave about Melanie Lynskey on this forum for years, but I have NEVER understood why. She's a very obvious actor, if that makes sense. I think most of the other actresses on Yellowjackets do a far more convincing job.

Don’t attack me but I think because she’s pudgy in a relatable but not off-putting way, women want to see her succeed more.

It’s like how people are so obsessed Pierce Brosnan’s wife for being “real”.

Of course it’s this. It’s also why teen Shauna was the hero despite f’ing Jackie’s boyfriend.

What? Teen Shauna is a beautiful girl.

Shauna, both teen and adult, has turned into my least favorite character on the show.

The finale better go somewhere or I’m out. This season has been a big runaround. Can we get out of the woods already and show what happened to these girls after they got back home?? That’s what I want to see.

The finale was ok if rather predictable. It was choppy and felt like they were rushing to tie up key loose ends in case the show isn't renewed.

The adult Melissa storyline was STUPID.

Pretty good finale of a not very good season. Shauna went from being insufferably annoying to full villain. Missy and Tai teaming up works heading into hopefully a final season where they take Shauna down. And we're set up to see the rescue and initial weeks back home which is all that's really needed to wrap it up.

Agree that season 4 should wrap it up. We need to see what happens with the frog scientist, and Melissa could be an interesting lose cannon in the mix. Though I hate hate hate Hilary Swank's portrayal. Lazy, did not try to capture any mannerisms of the younger actress at all.

In an interview Swank said that she hadn't watched the earlier episodes because she didn't have time.

"That was really a challenge without having a lot backstory and a lot of time to prepare,” Swank told The Post.

“They called me like a few weeks before filming,” she shared, admitting she “wouldn’t have had time” to watch every episode of Seasons 1 and 2 of the series.

All she needed to do was check out the limited appearances of Melissa in the first two seasons, to get a better sense of capturing her look and mannerisms. A few weeks should have been plenty of time for that. Plus an hour or two of reading episode recaps? Come on.

What? Did you not watch? It’s not about your personal feelings (obvious insecurity) re looks per se, but Jackie was gorgeous and Shauna envied the shit out of her.

I'm only sticking around at this point to see how they were rescued. This show needs to end.

Very astute observation. I've always heard people raving about her acting, but have yet to see her play something outstandingly well.

I thought the finale was really good - and I like that it's got Shauna finally accepting, and even loving, this dark side of her that she's been suppressing (not very well).

Also Natalie's heroic attempt to save them!

At least we finally know who pit girl and antler queen are.

Are we in for a showdown between Callie and Shauna next season or are they going to team up - or both?

I hope there is one more season!
