Yes, it was always about the duality in the first two seasons. She's completely unsympathetic now and I hope to see her lose everything that matters to her in the adult timeline. She deserves it. How can any of them live with themselves?? Just despicable. This is no longer about survival. It's pure animalistic cruelty.

Lottie, too. Such a sensitive and empathetic person and now just callous. Ugh.

That “trial” really pissed me off

That seemed to be a turning point, where the majority lost all sense of humanity and goodness. This week's episode only confirmed that. All they had to do was take away his crutches ffs. Horrifying to watch.

I might actually be done now. Now sure I can keep watching Ben's torment. It's too much.

I actually think the younger Lottie was incredibly overbearing and arrogant - insisting Travis and then Akila do dangerous things (take mushrooms, inhale toxic gas) in order to hallucinate. It's really annoying me that neither of them will simply tell her NO and to piss off.

Awful. My husband walked in right during that scene and said, "WTAF are you watching?" Good question. What a horribly sick and demented thing to do.
Since we never see Ben in the present-day scenes, I can only guess he does wind up dying.

I am still holding out hope that he made it to be rescued. Obviously he wouldn’t want anything to do with the adult survivors nor they with him so it is reasonable that they wouldn’t talk about him.

I assume he’s dead. Wasn’t he shown in the “in memoriam” display at the reunion or somewhere in the school building? Maybe I’m imagining that.

Well, this just keeps getting more and more bizarre. Wtf - first that weird llama, now some sort of claymation bear?

Also, why did they have to eat Coach Ben when they had other sources of meat? Was it purely for the idiotic rite?

I’m assuming somehow bad Taissa has taken over good Taissa’s body…

Now I’m wondering if they’ll have to kill the two strangers because they saw Ben’s head, etc. At this point, I just want them to be rescued so I can move on with my life and stop hate watching.

I’m done. Done.

Ok, it's picked up. Very good episode.

She was never empathetic, but Lottie’s season 1 cruelty made female viewers very happy, because it was directed at Jackie in the last couple of episodes.

I’ll keep watching because I love the cast but my god this show has jumped the shark. I mourn what it could have been with better writers and a coherent plan.

It was so much more dimensional season 1. So much now seems for shock value, with lots of erratic character development. The occasional good zinger but otherwise meh.
