If trump’s policies benefit them they are certainly free to vote for him. The world doesn’t revolve around 300k earning upper class women in FDIC. |
So you're okay if they're pandering??? Make up your mind. |
Yes. Completely fine with them |
What does this mean in practice? Is Target anti-…what? |
Target isn't anti-anything. EEO is still a law. DEI was never a law, it was an executive order of a former administration |
I’m not the PP but of course I’m going to support US farmers. I’m for the concept of DEI but that has nothing to do with these DEI offices that companies felt compelled to staff. They are not the same thing. I’m going to support US farmers and US everything because it’s not only democracy when it works out for my candidate. It’s a democracy when the other candidate wins too. I don’t like it but we’re still one country. The only people who win these de-humanizing campaigns led by the political parties are the political parties, not us. |

The way I look at it I have 2 choices 1) small American farmers and local businesses that may have voted for Trump, that support other small families by stocking small local businesses/niche products, and that also relies on people in the community for seasonal help or 2) mass produced products mostly produced by big ag/big pharma that uses more equipment to run a farm than people, and mass produces everything to be uniform to support more big companies like McDonalds or wherever. Then they go a step farther and mix real food with chemicals that are often run offs from more big companies. And then you’re left with over processed crap you can buy at Target or Amazon or any other store. Not to mention the government subsidies for certain products and how that affects Congress and lobbying… So you really think there’s a choice when the same corporations own almost all the major products? I’m not one to bash on any company though, I love freedom of choice. Once or twice a year I shop at Target and buy whatever I need without thinking about it, and grab convenience items from the grocery store if it’s closer or get chick fil a on the way home a few times a month. I generally don’t care that much and could frankly care less what color people are or what DEI policies they have or if Target looks like a rainbow threw up on it in June- I’ve looked like a rainbow threw up on me on more than one occasion. I’m also not avoiding the the black girl hair care products either (I use those too but can buy cheaper at dollar general). So yeah anyways I do prefer the likely Trump voting local farmer any day. About 70% of my grocery budget gets used locally. The great thing about America is you get to shop wherever you want to and nobody really cares! Try a farmers market though it might surprise you how great it is! |

They cut it a while back when it hurt their bottom line.
This isn't new or surprising. |
Correlation does not equal causation. The stock of Intellinetix went up 256% over the last 5 years. They make document management software solutions. Did they do well because of DEI, or because they had a good product? |
| I just buy whatever I like wherever I like! |
And you know who absolutely loves Costco like it’s a religion? Red states. You couldn’t pry Costco from their cold dead hands. |
Best answer in the thread. Same here! |
Tell me you've never been to the Fairfax Costco without telling me you've never been to the Fairfax Costco.... |
What is this? FOMO?? |
