Cheney career is over, that’s enough for me. Take Fauci’s taxpayer funded security away. Nature will handle his due punishment.

By which you mean he will live out his days surrounded by loving family members? I hope that's what you mean...

Right, it couldn’t be that he lied to us over & over.

Exactly. He deserves a medal, and the fact that Biden felt he had to pardon him pre-emptively is very concerning- what has Biden learned that could have led to this?

Huh? Exactly how might they not be "constitutionally valid"?

Where does the constitution say you can pardon someone who hasn’t even been convicted? Just because it’s been done before doesn’t mean it has withstood a court challenge.

Pardons are for leniency and a statement against what the executive thinks was an unfair trial or conviction. Not for protecting political allies from investigation or trial in the first place.

See you in court.

didn’t trump consider pardoning himself? 🤔

He was a fraud with a giant ego.

That’s right. Wtf is Biden doing?

Simple, he knows all are guitly and protecting them like the Overlord did by deleting hundreds of threads and tens of thousands of posts. In their mind this is to justice what the mRNA shots are to science.

Seems like an odd move, as now they can’t plead the 5th amendment, and can be forced to testify in other cases.

After all these sleazy pardons, Dems are going to have to lie even more than usual to try to maintain the moral highground.

Not sure where you’re getting that from. It was a stupid move by Biden for several reasons and it’s going to come back to bite the Democrats one way or another.

oh right….just like how Trump pardoned Paul manafort, roger stone and charles kushner.

what is sleazy about protecting a doctor who has been a public servant for his entire professional career?

Shameful statement.

I don't think anything makes me as angry as these pardons. It's clear that Fauci lied and hid information about COVID, including the origin of COVID, to cover any roles that the NIH may have had through possibly indirectly funding the research at WIV and not monitoring it properly. He probably told himself it was in the name of good and health and safety and scientific research, but he still went out of his way to distort knowledge around COVID, the Wuhan lab and he also made up stuff like six feet apart that the country willfully followed for years. Which affected hundreds of millions of people. I don't doubt with the right DOJ he could have been prosecuted and found guilty, after all, the pardons do confirm he broke laws that can be prosecuted.

The irony perhaps is that these pardons only confirm what all the Republican *majority* voters believe about Washington and only made any Democratic recovery much more difficult. I don't think this is the end of the chapter. I would not be surprised if there's a way around these pardons.

Its a preemptive pardon to try to prevent ridiculous harassment. If I am the recipeints, I make it clear I don't accept it because nothing will stop the harassment regardless.

Nope. Put him on the stand, with a pardon he cannot plead the fifth and make him talk. And if he doesn’t, hold him in contempt.

We can play games too.

What Fauci did was inexcusable

When Trump leaves office I hope he pardons every single person he has ever worked with.

I hope Trump preemptively pardons himself for all crimes, past, present and future. Just to prove how illegal a blanket pardon is.

Being a public servant for X years doesn't entitle you to special protections.
