This "he did gain of function research after Obama banned it" and therefore he lied to Congress narrative has been repeatedly debunked in this thread. Gain of function research was not banned, it was temporarily paused as guidelines were updated.

The 6-foot social distancing guideline was based on research indicating that respiratory droplets, which can carry viruses like COVID-19, generally travel about 3 to 6 feet when a person coughs, sneezes, or talks. There's literally a lot of research on this.
