Bible passages to throw at Republican Christians

This.

There’s a Bible passage to support or condemn anything you want it to and Christian Nationalists are the experts at using it to their advantage and dismissing what doesn’t serve them.

It used to make me crazy, but now I see it for what it is and focus on what’s real for me and letting my experience of love, forgiveness and compassion inform my actions and having faith that it’s enough.

What about Christians who are not Christian nationalists? Seems like they use religion in the same way. It's what religious people do -- Always looking for something Jesus, or their divinity of choice, said or did to justify their thoughts or actions.

How about just focusing on what is good and decent, leaving religion out of it. Religion is a crutch for whomever uses it.

Along the lines of
Romans 12:13
Proverbs 3:27

Just show them what Jesus Mary and Joseph would have liked like (not blonde blue eyed white). They would be deporting Christ if he showed up today.

Christ would not be exploiting/ stealing our US social services or participating in child and drug trafficking.

But he'd look like one and be treated like a criminal. Not everyone coming is doing those things.

I think you can distinguish the Good Samaritan from 15 million illegal aliens storming the border.

Look at what you just said. All illegal immigrants should be deported. Legal immigration is fine. Illegal is not.

So are you actually intimating that voting for Trump is based on personal sacrifice?

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha...

You guys and your complete lack of introspection...or decency.

Illegal immigrants should be deported but they should not be demonized and used as scapegoats for all the ills of the country. And the processes to deal with them should be humane.

But you MAGA don't understand anything about decency and kindness, so waste of time here.

They use social services, but the majority are not child and drug trafficking. This is why we don't like you MAGA jerks; you can't stay focused on the real problem and also see immigrants as fellow human beings in need. Don't give me some line about how I want open borders; I don't. I want secure borders. You can do this and try to solve the problems without demonizing these people, most law abiding and many families.

You MAGA have no compassion. It makes it hard to listen to you about anything. Only you guys enjoy your 24-7 hate-fests.

I disagree. The above is not good sense at all.

assuming that you are not acquainted with OP, you can't know that they aren't Christian. Not all Christians know all Bible verses.

Besides, what difference does it make if they are Christian or not -- they are asking for information on how best to communicate.

When you are stupid it makes you susceptible to saying stupid things. Think about the hate coming out of your nonreligious mouth.

Have you thought about the hate coming out of your supposedly religious mouth??

If you knew all the verses, you would realize how much they contradict each other.

I may not have memorized the verses, but when I was learning them, it was clear to me how ridiculous they were.

Maybe I’ll create a website of all hypocritical contradictory versus there are in the Bible

You are missing the point of this huge body of work entirely. Everything has context. A single quote is generally meaningless and/or can be given lots of meanings by changing context.

Sounds like something you learned in Sunday school -- and believed!
