Bible passages to throw at Republican Christians

It’s so odd how people have family problems and transfer them onto the general public. Maybe deal with your family issues privately and not involve strangers? We aren’t like your family.

You needed the Bible for that?

In that case, there would be no DCUM

DP. Speaking for myself, I hate the scourge of religion, the mess it has put us in in our country, and the problems it continues to create around the world. And yes I am judgmental about the hypocrisy of Christians, and feel entirely justified and moral to be so.

Do you have a problem with that?

No, but maybe it will help Bible quoters understand the concept of Kindness.

If you knew all the verses, you would realize how much they contradict each other.

I may not have memorized the verses, but when I was learning them, it was clear to me how ridiculous they were.

Maybe I’ll create a website of all hypocritical contradictory versus there are in the Bible

You are missing the point of this huge body of work entirely. Everything has context. A single quote is generally meaningless and/or can be given lots of meanings by changing context.

Not to mention if PP thinks serious Christians haven't already noticed the apparent contradictions and done the work to create reams and reams of systematic theology dealing with it over the millenia people have been studying the Bible...I don't know what to say.

It's as if to DCUM the entire discipline of theology doesn't exist, divinity schools don't exist, and people can't possibly use their intelligence on their faith.

You do realize what you are talking about her describes only a very small, select group of people. Most people who call themselves Christians don't think that hard about it.

She is trying to reach her family members is a language they understand. I think it's futile, but it's not hateful.

But yours is the lame tactic of the MAGAs- if someone tries to discuss another opinion or explain the basis of their opinion, you yell "hateful", "garbage". blah blah blah. Anything to avoid thinking or admitting (gasp) that you are wrong about something (everything).

I certainly didn't think very hard about religion when I was religious. Seemed like everyone else was religious too and I really liked the idea of living forever in heaven.

The sanctimonious Hell-bound twats who support Trump’s stance on immigration are the ridiculous ones.

I hope they enjoy burning forever.

They won't burn forever anymore than you will burn for the views you have while you're alive.

When you're dead, you're dead. That goes for everyone.

Along the lines of
Romans 12:13
Proverbs 3:27

What is wrong with you OP? Do you not know the basic tenet of Christianity is Thou shall not Judge?

Is sharing Bible passages to support one's beliefs judgey? Hmmm....

Of course they are!

OP - why do you think you are in the right to throw Bible passages at anyone? You lost! It's over. Stop with the whiney sanctimonious attitude. You are not morally superior to them. You are judging. You have no right.
