When did Trump laugh at himself?

Seriously - those of you who watched the whole routine - when did Trump laugh at himself?

I suppose his line about how he's supposed to laugh at himself, but there's nothing to say, is a sort-of meta joke about his unwillingness to laugh at himself. Other than that, he was plenty deprecating...just not toward self.

(But hey, if we all just agreed to give him an Emmy for this slurred performance, could we finally be rid of him? "You can finally have your Emmy, big guy, but only on one condition...")

He was having hard time reading his script and complained about not having teleprompter. Followed by usual trope how he’s the worst treated president in history, worse than Lincoln. If elder abuse is funny then, yeah I guess it’s funny when one can’t stand this particular elder.

Btw, the Al Smith dinner is supposed to involve an element of self-deprecation. There was none of that. It was the same old drivel from an old, tired, angry man.

And this was him trying to tone it down, bc eight years ago, he got so much flack for being so cruel and off-putting. Old, tired, and angry is right.

This is how it's supposed to be done:

Obama's 2008 address is here (starts around 23:00):

This is extremely cringe. Are the same staffers who suggested this ones who told her to go on Fox News? Has Trump paid her off to lose because I don’t understand the strategy here. So worried about Nov 5!!!

The Al Smith dinner is a gross anachronism.

They should just have Trump and Obama do a comedy special with all proceeds to fund the NPS.

Then we can get someone boring to actually run the country well.

So Kamala can’t attend because that would mean being in a room of child molester supporters and rich old white men- but it was funny and cool when Obama showed up.

No kidding. And she is running on reinstating Roe....which is not very Catholic. Ridiculous people think she should have showed up.

Raise money for Catholic charities. Politicians come to get the blessing of the Archdiocese of New York. Big time Boomer energy event.

You know when Americans hate "The Swamp"? This crowd at this dinner is the epitome of that.

And there was not extensive reporting before that right? And it’s not like Democrats show up at fundraisers for organizations that have never hid child abuse, like the public school teachers union, Hollywood galas, Diddy’s white parties, etc.

The movie “Spotlight” was the final straw, huh?

That was footage of the video playing at the event and there are literally no laughs the entire time. I have no explanation other than she is being paid to flop the race.
