Political Discussion
One could argue he never stopped. |
I'm sure it had nothing to do with Reagan running as the incumbent. BTW, 1984 was the first election in which I voted, grew up Catholic in a very Catholic part of NY, and the Al Smith dinner was not someting anyone talked about. It wasn't a big deal. |

You’re obviously not Catholic. |
| He was quite funny. Didn’t watch the whole things, but it’s a shame Kamala didn’t show up. This would have been much better for her to attend than the terrible Fox interview |
Nah. They wanted her there so Trump could try to humiliate her and then they would get the reaction shot - Harris embarrassed, a crowd of rich white dudes laughing at her. Then put that into commercials to beam all over the country. Harris didn’t walk into the obvious trap. Smart lady. Ps - the Al Harris Dinner is the definition of the Swamp that folks claim to hate. Money, religion, media, and politics all rolled into one. |
Al Smith Dinner* |
| Not knowing men could get periods until he met Tim Walz was a funny bit too |
??? I am a Catholic who attends mass every Sunday. Married in the Catholic Church, sent my 4 kids to Catholic schools. |
| She never misses an opportunity to miss an opportunity. It’s been the story of the whole campaign. That silly White Dudes commercial? That dated SNL Catholic school girl skit in her video? She and her handlers are really out of touch with anyone outside the elite progressive bubble. When they try to be funny it’s always an own goal. |
+1 Given how Whitner very recently insulted Catholics, whether or not intentionally, one would think the Harris campaign would be a little more aware right now. |
There are a lot of rich white dudes in both parties. If she can’t handle rich white dudes, she shouldn’t be president |
That was a bizarre incoherent jump from Harris not attending an event held by a child sex trafficking organization to "she can't handle rich white dudes" |
