This sounds awesome!

Our kids loved the Spruce Point Inn in Maine. Not cheap but also not "fancy." They loved being free to roam.

Oooo nice!!

Truly, google “George Washington hotel Winchester” and look at the pool 😂 there is like a Greek statue, and white columns. My kids minds were BLOWN.

But they also like staying at any hotel with a breakfast buffet, Hampton Inn is their first choice. So.

Is the pool warm? I’m thinking this could be a good winter trip

Honestly we have only been in the summer. But it’s indoors so, I’m assuming so.

We have stayed all over the world in all types of accommodations, hands-down this was DS' favorite - https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/15985621?source_impression_id=p3_1724794963_P3_GFlBTh_H-_V31

I've been there with my kids. While it is nice, I don't think is is anything extraordinary or special, especially for kids.

Totally reasonably priced with lots of activities that were included or really affordable. It borders Rocky National Park in Colorado set on 860 acres. We went fly fishing, indoor and outdoor rock climbing/high ropes adventure, played tennis, hiked, etc.

I would love it if other people listed places that were under $300 a night.

My kids (2 boys) like hotels with interesting bed arrangements. Like junior suites or bunkbeds. They also liked a cabin-type place we stayed in, in Estes Park (that place closed, but other places rent cabins). They also generally like hotels where they each get a bed. When I prioritize the nature or quirk of the sleeping arrangements, that's when things go well. So spending more doesn't usually earn the love.

Atlantis is a dump

Surprised that no one mentioned Legoland hotel (we went to the San Diego one). Granted it was almost ten years ago but from all the hotels we have stayed when kids were little that was the most kid-oriented one with funny touches: disco dancing in the elevator, a new Lego toy every day for the kids from housekeeping, bunk beds with Lego movies on individual screens, etc. And Legoland outside the front door.
