Why would anyone who dislikes Trump drive a Tesla?

Politics are ALL that matters. Nothing else. Get a clue.

Stock is also significantly down for the year. Yes, it got a bump today, I imagine because of last night’s interview, but the stock is at $204 from $276

So, who listened to the conversation last night? I did (parts of it) and loved it.

More important, so did my teenage/ young adult kids, who look up to Elon Musk as a hero. They are completely on board with Trump now. This conversation did a lot to solidify that.

Are we really going to live in a world where we make businesses choose political sides and then we only buy from companies on “our” side?

DP. Yes. I actually would prefer if the CEO’s keep their political beliefs to themselves and just run the businesses that shareholders expect them too.

Congratulations for raising a family of idiots.

Look up to Elon as a hero? That’s the best you could come up with for hero worship? You lost in parenthood.

Most Tesla drivers bought them before Elon went insane.

This. My husband has evening wanting to get a Tesla, but now we will not be getting one bc of Elon Musk.

Most teen boys I know (through my kids) are RFK supporters. They think Trump is an old racist criminal.

If democrats care so much for the environment, they’d be driving teslas over their ICEs, yet they let politics get in the way too much of actually doing actionable items. You really should, separate the brand from the politics of a single guy in the company.

It's not an either/or. There are many other EVs available now.

? A lot of American cars are made in MX. Do Americans who buy such cars pledge their loyalty to MX? Your logic makes no sense.

Teslas are different. The brand is associated with Elon. No other car make is associated with a single person.

DH just leased a Toyota EV. He test drove several EVs, but not a Teslas. We both despise him, even before Trump.

No, it makes very good sense.

But you do you. You keep fighting for better wages for the five people still employed in auto manufacturing here. You win!

Why so touchy? Weren’t you MAGAs tossing Keurigs over some perceived slight not too long ago?

No. I don't believe in that. I believe in a free marketplace of ideas. Not trying to shut it down or delete it (like happens here every day).

Free marketplace means consumers can choose which businesses they want to support.

+1 Business owners can have ideas, and customers can have their own ideas about those ideas, and use them to make decisions about which products they will buy. That’s capitalism.

+1 Elon is free to say whatever he wants, and support whoever he wants for POTUS. Consumers are free to not buy a Telsa. That's how it works.

"Fighting for better wages".. hm. is that what Rs do? Fight for better wages by fighting against raising the minimum wage.

The Ioniq 5 will be produced in GA starting in 2025. My subara was made in IN. You're welcome IN.

Also, the reason why car production goes to MX is because labor is cheaper. If you have a beef with that, you should blame capitalism because such a market allows for businesses to offshore their production.

Did you know that Trump's clothing line is made in China?

+1000. Don't buy a Tesla and give more money to the guy trying to get Trump elected so he can do more damage to our kids fundamental rights. Get lost Elon and Don.

Elon can tap onto all the "drill baby drill" trump loving Tesla buyers. That is his market.
