+1. Why do all scores/grades have to be held until the last test is graded? It makes zero sense. I would also like some information about how the score on the exam corresponds to the grade on the test. Even if they are waiting for all test scores to determine what score constitutes an A, what constitutes a B, etc. -- surely there are only a handful of makeup tests left to grade? They have to know what the score distribution looks like. Ugh.

At least one bio teacher in our school has this information. It might be worth asking.

Why is it the case that a test that reveals poor performance by minorities is "not a good measure of performance?" Do you believe that magically all groups should perform at the same level on standardized tests despite all evidence to the contrary?

Do you know what the word disproportionately means?

I just got my current 9th graders MISA (all MCAP) scores from 2022-23 in the mail yesterday. Hopefully you'll get yours soon.

Hahahahahaaaaa
Only laughing because done crying over the state of MCPS, they can NOT communicate anything. It is a comedy at this point, MCAP MiSA scores mailed ONE year later???

High school testing this year was like herding cats. Many students refused to go or would not come to school. Many blew it off even though they were informed it could be a make or break decided on passing Biology.

Testing hasn’t really mattered since a few years before the pandemic when they moved away from HSA’s and then common core fell apart. After 10 years we are back to having tests matter in some way. I’ll bet the scores are really low and there is hand wringing about where the “passing score” will be and if the AI grading is equitable.

I know is Texas the passing score is something like 35%, barely above random choosing on a 4 answer multiple choice test.
