You are cheering someone on to use shady business practices on her fans. The way she released her album(s) in the USA is apparently illegal in Australia because of the flash sales and general hack salesmen techniques. Her morals suck, there are no ethical billionaires. Why do you look up to that? |
This isn’t Australia. I don’t care about their laws nor do they care about ours. |
Of course you don’t care, it doesn’t affect you, so it doesn’t matter. Your philosophy has already been outlined. I’m asking you WHY you believe it is fine to use crappy marketing techniques to eek money out of your fans when you are already a billionaire? I don’t get it and don’t think it is something to be flaunted. But you do, so why? |
You are so wrong you know. Tay’s been hot for Matty for a decade+. |
An artist doesn’t need to provide their goods for free. If you don’t like her approach to selling music - then don’t consume it. You don’t have a right to her music based on your definition of “crappy marketing techniques”. |
The SM creators and Taylor thank you for being so gullible. |
I’m not a swiftie, but i liked blank space, and it was clearly about Connor Kennedy. |
There is a vast difference between releasing free and releasing parts of albums on flash sale to make more money. Why do you think that it is okay for her to continue making so much money she doesn’t need? Why not just release an album without all the games for money. I find that to be nothing to praise. She is greedy. |
We don’t determine the value of a product, nor someone’s rights to sell a product, based on their current wealth. If that’s the type of society you are interested in, you’re welcome to move to China or North Korea. Otherwise get over it. And no one asked you to praise her. |
There’s no way she would’ve released “Down Bad” if she wasn’t in love with Matty Healy. The lyrics are frankly embarrassing, unless you’re really truly down bad for someone, and then it’s kind of romantic and makes sense. |
+1 |
+1 I don't get it. I'm a pretty big fan. I love her music, I love almost everything about her. Guess how much money I've given to her. $0. Literally $0. I stream her music on platforms I already have, and I have literally never purchased one item where I have to take out a credit card and pay for it. Try it some time. |
And I”m not praising her. The PP did. Can you honestly say that you dont care that Taylor is a billionaire killing the environment with her jet and still charging full price for just part of an album? None of you actually address that in your comments. You are just saying, don’t buy it. I’m not. I won’t. BUT I also see that it is ridiculous that she is still using tactics like that when she doesn’t need ANY more money for the rest of her life. I’m not asking who determines the value of a product at all. Ridiculous that you mention China or N Korea as examples, but Australia (which has better consumer protection laws) was “not where we live.” I live in the USA with you, and I think there should be better laws to stop greedy people like Taylor. IF you don’t, go live in Russia where Oligarchs rule. |
Go and listen to Death by A Thousand Cuts. It has Marty all over it. |
Death by a Thousand Cuts mirror The 1975’s Me & You You said it was a great love / One for the ages / But if the story’s over / Why am I still writing pages? Vs I think the story needs more pages /Cuz I’ve been in love with her for ages. |
