Not a lot. All 3-5 of them in the county with high scores that were not admitted each year post on these threads and it looks like a lot but it isn't. You can hate the program, if you want, but do it in a rational way. |
Madison Pyramid
Cogat 149 NNAT 119 iReady math 99% iReady reading 97% No idea about HOPE In |
NNAT 160
COGAT 135 NOT in. |
Were their iReady scores low? |
Hit send too fast.
NNAT 160 (which they said was perfect - our teachers had never seen one, though I am sure it's not a never) COGAT 135 NOT in. My husband was so unhappy. It does seem a bit much. |
I am not sure - Reading was 71 and Math was 86. Is that terrible? |
Those scores are low. How was Hope rating |
Also not good - so that must be it. Thanks. |
My kids’ teachers have told me that their iReady scores in early years might have been low because they just weren’t used to taking tests or doing anything on a computer. They don’t have tablets, they don’t play video games, they do watch tv but that’s not interactive. I thought that was an interesting assessment. My 2nd grader is one of the ones with high COGAT and NNAT but iReady scores below 90%. |
What is HOPE? |
The HOPE scale is the teacher rating system that replaced the GBRS this year. |
How likely my kid get in with appealing with these scores
Cogat 141 Nnat123 Iready math and reading 86 87 |
Girl, 144 NNAT, 138 CogAt (144 quant), consistently 99% iReady on math and reading since K, good grades but wouldn’t be surprised if her HOPE was mediocre as she has focus/attentiveness issues. But she’s in. |
It’s not just scores. I know someone who got in with low 90s cogat score. AART teacher said GBRS is weighted pretty heavy. So I would recommend you talk to your AART and see if the GBRS was low and perhaps you can appeal with letters of recommendation. |
What is GBRS exactly and what do you mean with recommendation letter?? |
