Was is always so hard for American youth to find good partners

There’s too many men who are permanent children and even if they get an education and work, they still expect women to take care of them (whether it’s mom or their wife).

Women would rather be alone than settle for these low quality options.

Women don’t understand that their education and career doesn’t mean squat if there’s no one desiring them, and later wanting kids with them, and later taking care of them once they are old.
So they think they can trick nature and be “independent”.

If you are comparing your partner's sexual performance with 50 other people, he or she would fall short. If you've gotten to variety, monogamy isn't going to last long, infidelity and divorces would happen?

Women don't want short sons

+1. Taller men have a lot of advantages and moms want the best and most for their sons.

- Mom of 3 sons

Again. Sons take height after moms

That's an old wives tale

Haha - I wish. Plenty of examples I know personally where mom was 5’4; dad 6’2 and son ends up 5’7

And there are plenty of actual studies debunking your anecdotes. If you want to rough calculation for a boy's height, it's the mother's height to the father's height in either inches.
Add 5 inches for boys. Divide by 2.

That’s just a rule of thumb.

I have a husband who is 5’8 on a good day. I’m 5’3’.

Our older son is 6 feet tall but our younger son is in the 20th percentile for height so he’s going to be single for a long time, apparently.

My grandfather and DH’s father were/are both 6ft.

Height is polygenic. It’s not directly inherited. I can’t say I gave this a whole lot of thought when I decided to bang DH the first time, but it’s worked out fine.

Well, it only worked for one of your sons. Which proves the fact that mother’s height is just as important for sons predicted height, if not more

What you just typed doesn’t make sense. Did they teach a genetics unit in biology at your high school?

Even truer for women

At the same time, there is a movement for moms to raise their boys to be more feminine which is a turnoff for women. Both sexes are headed in the wrong direction and both are adamant that it is the others fault

All thanks to social media

These two work together so that you’re always on the lookout for someone slightly better than who you’re with now. Technology messed things up big time. Economic factors don’t help either.

+1 Also more and more young people had unstable childhoods disrupted by divorces and parents with partners coming and going which didn't give a strong role model

Of course they did. And the formula you provided above proves it

Well I’m 5’4” shorter than my mom and my 18-year old son is 6’1”. Husband is 5’10”.

Please refer to thread on the unsuitability of walking dates.

Yep. Dysfunction carries through generations. They subconsciously follow their own parents/childhood.

My neighbor is 5’11” and her sons take after dad. Full grown adults - 5’7” and 5’8”.

You are almost average height, your husband above average and your son went just at his predicted height. We were taught that extremely short/tall genes are strong and prevail

Because dad is probably well below average - these genes are strong

Lot of men desire women for their income, education and career.
