Women don't want short sons

+1. Taller men have a lot of advantages and moms want the best and most for their sons.

- Mom of 3 sons

Again. Sons take height after moms

That's an old wives tale

Haha - I wish. Plenty of examples I know personally where mom was 5’4; dad 6’2 and son ends up 5’7

And there are plenty of actual studies debunking your anecdotes. If you want to rough calculation for a boy's height, it's the mother's height to the father's height in either inches.
Add 5 inches for boys. Divide by 2.

That’s just a rule of thumb.

I have a husband who is 5’8 on a good day. I’m 5’3’.

Our older son is 6 feet tall but our younger son is in the 20th percentile for height so he’s going to be single for a long time, apparently.

My grandfather and DH’s father were/are both 6ft.

Height is polygenic. It’s not directly inherited. I can’t say I gave this a whole lot of thought when I decided to bang DH the first time, but it’s worked out fine.

Well, it only worked for one of your sons. Which proves the fact that mother’s height is just as important for sons predicted height, if not more

Looks can be fixed with plastic surgery, you can't change IQ.

The fact that you adds 5 inches to boys calculation is actually an argument in favor of their father’s height being less important for boys. A son of 5.5 mom and 6.2 dad will have a predicted height of 6 ft
A son of 5.8 mom and 5.8 dad will have 6 ft predicted height as well

In my home country moms were telling their short sons to marry tall women

Is math really that hard for you? Both parent's height equally weigh into the result

or height. Women can wear heels, men can't.

Isn't it still the case? Only people browse a lot but in the end settle for whatever is left and available to them.

In Europe we were told back in a day to avoid extremely short or extremely tall partners for marriage. Women ideally need to be 5’5-5’8, men 5’8-6’3. Very short or very tall kids at school were bullied. Short girls just as much as short boys

There’s too many men who are permanent children and even if they get an education and work, they still expect women to take care of them (whether it’s mom or their wife).

Women would rather be alone than settle for these low quality options.

So only quality of men has declined, women's quality didn't deteriorate equally?

Yea, the short genes can be extremely strong and persistent popping up sometimes over a generation

No that’s the point: women are more adaptable socially . There are plenty of books like “Why boys fail” etc explaining this

Goes for both men and women, discard good partners then later on marry similar only both have lot of relational baggage accumulated to burden the marriage.

Lol. Women have not "adapted". They have become more entitled

My theory is that there is very little value in either emotional or physical monogamy nowadays, as well as in cohabitating, for both genders (let alone all the quasi genders).
People don’t understand the value of procreation anymore also.
We are all very removed from the primal instincts and needs and values (at least those of us who have lived in the “first world” long enough).

As women have become determined to have male type careers, they have become more masculine with their traits which is a turnoff for men. At the same time, there is a movement for moms to raise their boys to be more feminine which is a turnoff for women. Both sexes are headed in the wrong direction and both are adamant that it is the others fault
