The quality of product has declined. Males and females are fatter, less in shape, less mentally well, use more drugs, lazier, and dumber than in previous generations.

- Internet dating makes people swipe on tons of profiles and it’s like a market. Everyone things they’ll miss out on something better.

-women eclipsing men career wise and don’t want to settle. Boys getting more fed up being poor or just would rather play video games or otherwise chill because they have less financial options and are sort of apathetic. They’d probably rather bang a random from an app, but don’t care too much to settle down.

-less people want kids or marriage

- organized religion in decline. Less strict dogma to follow.

-social media fueling narcissism. It’s annoying. Too much ego and prideful behavior everywhere.

-women obsessed

It's not good or bad, it just is. ....

Yep. Women no longer need marriage for financial stability. They can now be more selective when choosing a partner and, if the relationship doesn't work out, they have less pressure to suffer through it.

A lot of men haven't figured out that they have to bring more to the table than a good, stable job.

People are glued to screens 24/7 and lack social skills.

What kind is that?

Dating apps make it easy to constantly search for the perfect person. Thirty years ago you didn’t have that option.

Lack of stable community. Hard to meet people naturally if you don't have community

Seems like 99% of the men posting here meet that criteria. You are poor if you make under $200k

I've never understood the > 6'ft thing. The average woman is 5'4. A guy who is 5'8 - 5'11 should suffice.

It’s getting worse too. I think this is the main problem - interpersonal skills, conflict resolution skills, etc.

+1. Taller men have a lot of advantages and moms want the best and most for their sons.

Sons take height after mothers. I’m 5’8 my husband 5’11 and our son is 6’4.

I also could never understand why a 5’5 woman needs a 6’ man. American women are socialized and conditioned to value height. I’m European and height was never something my mom would tell me to even consider as a factor . As long as he’s at least same height as myself it’s fine. And I’m tall!
