I think this forum is full of ruthless cheapskates with no self-awareness. |
Why?? You are insane! Kids meals are just less food for less money. The end! What other strange rules do you have regarding other people’s restaurant orders? And although it isn’t the same at all, if someone really did want to add some lemon slices to water with sugar.. then so what? |
Ruthless cheapskates? We are talking about people who order the amount of food they actually want to eat, not ordering larger portions and wasting it so that.. the restaurant is happy? |
| It’s not being cheap. It’s being smart with my money. It all adds up. That why many on DCUM are rich. We are smart, not cheap. |
You get 20% when you do a lot more of the work. Handing the bag to me isn't worth 20% and you know it. |
And that is perfectly appropriate for takeout!! |
Bring back Arthur Treachers!

But the kids want the kid nuggs and kids noodles. They don't want the adult meals of siracha baked flounder or the hangar steak... |
No, they don't care, noone is judging |
Well, except all the weirdos on here |
| Yes, it is beyond tacky. |

Don't you observe fish as meat only and no other animal products for the whole week????
You are a Friday lent observer? How sad. |
| You would tip 5 dollars??? This is such a troll! |
You don't need a good place if you are willing to make it at home. It is so easy. I struggled with fish and chips for a long time, and I am a good cook. Chips part was good, fish fry not. So, here is what you do, you make a paste of flour, some corn starch and water or beer or what you like. Thicker paste. You buy a great stainless-steel pan, a deeper and wider one. Heat the oil pretty hot but not when the whole house is smoking. Drop them in, do not overcrowd, two minutes one side, two other, and most perfect fried fish you can never find anywhere. Use halibut or basa fish. Cod is also good, but be careful it falls apart easily, so heat needs to be hot. Because you are right, fried fish is not great with surviving the takeout process. |
My favorite posts about takeout is when someone tells you how easy it is to make at home. Not even joking. I like the recipes and the process even if I will probably (in the case of frying fish, definitely) never do this at home. |
