Red Wave coming in Maryland!

Hogan tied with Alsobrooks currently, if you look at the poll with fewer undecided voters, and among all polls Alsobrooks has a ceiling of 46%. I think Hogan wins this one.

But if you look at the poll where Alsobrooks is ahead, it shows Harris winning by a lot less that many people would expect, with 10% of voters up for grabs. This poll has Harris up by only 21 points… which is a significant drop from Biden winning by 33 points in 2020. She also runs behind Biden did earlier this year, as Maryland was the one state that actually liked Biden enough for his approval to remain above water. It actually looks like Maryland preferred Biden over Harris. Anyways I don’t remember the last time the Dem candidate won MD by less than 20 points.

The Alsobrooks-Trone polling showed him ahead and she trounced him.

Stick a fork in his campaign.

Wut? Oh well, so much for Hogan.

I wouldn't count him out. lots of voters who only care about what they think someone will do to their taxes.

When are you posting from? In 2024, when I'm posting from, he's running for US Senate, not Maryland governor. As 1 of 100 senators, he wouldn't do anything.

A R senate will push for a tax cut at the federal level.

Republicans won’t vote for a republican who acts like a democrat. Democrats won’t vote for a republican who acts like a democrat when there’s an actual democrat to vote for instead. Who is Hogan’s constituency? He doesn’t have one.

Me! I loved Hogan when he was governor and I will vote for him again.

+2. There are many of us, we just don’t want to engage in the exhausting back and forth about control of the Senate, the Supreme Court, etc. I think Hogan will be a great addition to the Senate, an adult moderate voice. We need more Hogans in Congress to help restore some functionality.

You can't vote for him again until 2026, which is the next gubernatorial election.

Also, everyone knows that people who identify themselves as "a moderate Democrat" on DCUM are actually Republicans. One example of "a female moderate democrat" is Bethany Mandel, who is neither moderate nor actually a Democrat.

No, there aren't. Angela Alsobrooks will be an adult moderate voice, by the way; she's 53, and she's as middle-of-the-road as it gets.

I am actually a democrat! I voted for Obama and Biden and both Clintons. But Hogan is different - he did a great job running our state, he changed his mind about the purple line when he got more information (he said this- who else does this? A moderate!) I loved his reaction to Trump’s endorsement, too. I just like the guy and think he’s a reasonable adult who I’d be happy to represent me. Alsobrooks is a regular politician.

If you're upset because the Purple Line is years late and billions over budget, well, Larry Hogan did that.

Well said. Three cheers for reasonable adult politicians! I'm from DC and we loved Tony Williams. Similarly, found Hogan to be a breath of fresh air.

A tax cut for über-rich people only.

So you are anti-abortion then. Hogan in the Senate is a vote against choice.

Maryland will always stay blue, silly OP. I like Hogan but she's going to beat him.
