That is not how it works at Michigan. It is a 2 step process. First, you have to be accepted to another school at Michigan (LSA, Engineering, STAMPS, etc). Second, once admitted they will review you for Ross and give you a yes or no to Ross at a later date. I think in a few weeks? |
| It know they were business majors-my child didn’t apply so assumed.it was Ross. I didn’t realize you apply twice. |
My kid was accepted from a top private. It is a crapshoot. We feel very lucky |
| no FA for MI, right? you guys are all willing to pay 80k OOS |
You don’t apply twice but to acceptance to Ross is two steps - first into LSA. Ross decisions will come later |
Yes, my DC wouldn’t apply if we couldn’t pay. |
Dp, but almost everyone I know who attended Michigan is from NY or other parts of the Northeast. |
| Accepted EA today, 1520 SAT, co-valedictorian perfect GPA and several strong extracurriculars. Unless she gets into an Ivy this spring, which is unlikely, she’s headed to Ann Arbor! |
DD heard two classmates have been rejected so I guess there are rejections. |
umm…at least 50% from the state of Michigan. And the Midwest has a calming effect on those from the toxic NE. |
Congrats!! She will love it there! |

DD Postponed.
4.4 weighted (don’t know the unweighted) 34 ACT EC: High seats in youth orchestras, Nationally rated athlete, student government and leadership Not sure why they need her 1st semester grade at this point. Rigor wise she is in Multi and AP LIT this year, took AP lang, APUSH and BC Calc last year. She isn’t a science kid so no AP Physics or Chem. I guess April it is then. |
