| Deferred for engineering |
My kid says they don’t reject EA. Mostly postpone. She was rejected in RD but it was a reach. |
Congratulations! Could you share stats? |
1450+ or 1550+? |
| postponed/deferred for LSA |
nope several from our private rejected🥲🥲. Great candidates but applying to Ross so there is that. |
Glad that Michigan doesn’t make candidates wait a year or two to see if they’ll get into Ross. |
|
There is a difference between deferred and postponed.
The latter means they haven't had a chance to review the application yet. Michigan will release traunches of the postponed over the next several weeks as they can. |
|
Did anyone get in? If so could you share stats?
|
I don't think so...according the the U of M website: "What does it mean to be postponed" "We have decided to postpone making a decision on your application at this time, and your application will be moved into our regular decision pool for consideration. We need additional time to review your credentials and determine how your strengths and academic achievements would fit with the composition and quality of this year’s first-year applicant pool." https://admissions.umich.edu/apply/first-year-applicants/selection-process/postponed-applicants-faq |
| Several from our school deferred and several rejected -keep in mind most good students were applying here as EA. Our school is pretty good about encouraging kids not to waste an application if you are not having any chance. I know a non Ross brilliant student got in. No idea on stats but all these kids are smart and took highest classes. |
Does this mean they want 1st semester grades? |
| So does a postponed EA decision come out at the same time as the RD decision? |
|
Did anyone’s letter use the word deferred? Or was everything “postponed”?
My kid was postponed. |
