My DD disliked State College and didn’t apply because of it. She is a big fan of both Athens and Cville. Also liked Ann Arbor. Disliked Blacksburg. Also disliked Madison.

What is the student culture like at UGA? Is it heavily Greek dominated? Easy to fit in as an OOS student? With roughly 80% in-state students, does it have a mostly Southern feel to it, or is that watered down given the number of transplants in Atlanta?

My DC is an OOS admit, and we have yet to visit the campus. Do people view the OOS experience at UGA the same way they do @ places like UNC - similar OOS percentages?

Most I know love it from oos. Southern but not overly so.
