| I don’t have time to google. Sorry. Just look it up. Or don’t. Doesn’t change the facts. |
If you don’t have time to Google how do you know? You just admitted you’re posting without doing any research, which is why folks ask for sources. |
Quite true. UGA OOS from Virginia is much easier than UVA in state. UGA (and Clemson) are used as backups for the students that do not get into UVA and in many cases also do not get in to WM or VT. Scoir data from three high schools shows the difference. The CDS from the schools themselves show the students overlap but are from statistically significant different tiers of academic ranges |
So we now just through out statistically significant willy nilly on this forum. |
What is the UGA OOS acceptance rate? |
+1 That poster has repeated this elsewhere. It's pretty entertaining how clueless he is. |
You are too funny. Thanks for playing (or rather, not playing). |
Surprisingly, UGA isn’t even a sure shot for high stats kids that are GA residents. I know many very bright kids that have been Waitlisted or outright rejected. It used to be a very easy admit for anyone with a pulse 20 years ago when it was known as a party school, but for some strange reason it’s become quite competitive for even GA residents to get in. Unfortunately GA just doesn’t have alot of good public options. |
UGA seems stronger than you think. UGA OOS admitted 25% last year. Overall UGA stats were 1370-1500, 4.13-4.38. https://www.redandblack.com/uganews/uga-maintains-competitive-admissions-and-high-retention-rate/article_667589b0-aeff-11ee-bf60-77d4b7daaa34.html |
Get out of your bubble. The correlation between football success and the number of applications a school receives is well documented |
| This thread took a turn. Goes from ragging on UVA "boosters" to UGA boosters boostering like a Falcon 9. UGA might be the next Northeastern. |
50% selectivity for in-State applicants is very high. |
+1. And a UGA booster reactivated this old thread. |
DP. Well, for starters UVA is ranked no 5 by USNWR for best public universities whereas UGA is no. 20. |
UGA overall 37% selectivity https://www.admissions.uga.edu/blog/2024-freshman-admits/ |
