| I don’t think that the crime rate on Athens is accurate. Other sources have different numbers. |
Yeah. I was in grad school there in the early 90’s and some friends took me to see this local band they really liked. Turned out it was the Dave Matthew’s Band. After the show I told my friends that I thought they sucked and there was no chance they would hit it big. Clearly not destined to be a music critic. |
Ann Arbor is crime ridden. It’s awful. |
Between Athens and Charlottesville (I've spent a lot of time in both), Athens wins. But my favorite college town is Chapel Hill. Love it. |
You’ve never been to Ann Arbor obviously. I’ve been there hundreds of times and know the area extremely well. It’s a perfectly safe city to walk around. Never felt nervous, even for a second, anywhere in town. |
No. PP is responding to 18:18 who clearly says that UVA and UGA “are peer schools” - they are there not talking about the towns. |
| Neither |
Those stats came from a reliable source. If you can do better, then do so. |
| I love Chapel Hill. |
| Take it to the Tarheel forum. |
How is Chapel Hill better than Cville or Athens? |
I agree with this guy. State College is at the top. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AFDGxK6UbKA |
Would not expect State College to be #1. |
My DD disliked State College and didn’t apply because of it. She is a big fan of both Athens and Cville. Also liked Ann Arbor. Disliked Blacksburg. Also disliked Madison. |

So it fits here, too.
