Saltines, ginger ale, gatorade. Nothing more till those things stay down/in.

This is basically my advice, but I’d skip the ginger ale and might try sips of yogurt smoothie/kefir or tiny tastes of yogurt for their probiotics.

Call the doctor.

omg.. what does he have? Sorry if you already mentioned it. This sounds horrible. And I've had my share of stomach bugs but it didn't last for more than 2 days.

It's slowing down it's day 3. No idea either stomach bug or food poisoning. Ate weird salad so I suspect that. But agree I've never had more than 12-24 hours vomiting!

Bananas, rice, applesauce, toast. But food isn’t important. Liquids are still the most important. Stay away from dairy for several days.

Had applesauce, crackers and soup. Hasn't vomited. Dry heaved and then had diarrhea twice. Insane how long it's dragging on but I'm probably impatient

Diarrhea can last for many, many days. Avoid dairy. Otherwise, bland food and liquid. Do not worry about the diarrhea. Pepto Bismol OK. Avoid Imodium

Thanks. Good to know. But he just still feels so weak and stomach hurts. In other words, not like he's remotely peppy but just has diarrhea. He's tired and dragging and sick. Not alarmingly so. On phone today. Yay! But hopefully he turns corner soon!

Yes this is how people are after losing their body fluids for 3 days- lethargic. It truly baffles Me that no one in your family has ever experienced this before.

Focus on keeping him hydrated. My kid ended up back in the ER and admitted for fluids because the diarrhea lasted for days and every time she stood to go to the bathroom she got dizzy and vomited. Zofran wasn’t effective so she just kept losing more fluid than she could take in. 24 hours of IV fluids (and whatever they give for low blood sugar) and it was an amazing improvement. Food isn’t nearly as important as fluids.

Small sips of Gatorade and lots of water.

How does he get better if he still has diarrhea which in turn causes dehydration and not getting calories etc?
He has has oatmeal soup and applesauce so far today. Has a headache when he moves and gets up - so dehydration. Otherwise on the mend I hope!?!

Gatorade. 50/50 and lots of it. Broth is also good
