Might be too late in the evening now, but you may be able to get him an Rx for Zofran to help with the nausea. Maybe a doctor on call and a 24 hour pharmacy?

I brought him to ER for fluids and anti nausea. They will test for flu Covid rsv strep etc. it was not a long wait. He couldn't keep ice chips down and it's been 40 hours.

Not great! I'm so worried. High fever w Tylenol (but only one pill) and no interest in food. It's been 48 hours. He hasn't thrown up since thjs morning but did have diarrhea again. Taking zofran. Kind of listless or maybe just tired. Burning up. Maybe it's flu and test was wrong!? I also have anxiety lol shocker. Thanks for checking in

What’s the high fever? You don’t necessarily have to treat a fever just to lower it.

Honestly, you need to take a deep breath. He probably has norovirus. The flu test wasn’t wrong and it doesn’t matter anyway, he’s too late for antivirals. 48 hours is not long to be sick, he will get better, I promise. Just let him rest.

I took him to ER today for IV fluids and anti nausea meds. He was little better for a bit but now just high fever and in bed not moving much.

Thanks. Even if it was flu the ped didn't recommend Tamiflu w his GI symptoms. His fever was maybe 102.4 or 7 in one ear but hard to say. Felt burning up. Put a cold rag in head but then he said take it off and now he's asleep.
