I question your judgement if the bolded are your idea of "rising stars" doing good work within MCPS.

One of these worked closely with Beidleman. Shocker.

Scott Smith worked at Clemente at the same time. Doesn’t mean he had anything to do with that mess.

They didn't overlap at Clemente. Smith was there 2015-2018, Beidleman 2012-2014.

It's also not Smith.

Pyles was the principal intern at Farquhar a few years ago. I don't know why that fact should count against her.

You'll have to ask the PP why they bolded the name and questioned a "rising star" status. Pyles was intern at Farquhar with Joel Beidleman as principal. He was not a good principal. He was not a good supervisor. And any leader who learned from him should be viewed very carefully. How many Tilden MS complaints are there for a variety of reasons? That principal also worked closely with Beidleman. And each of them knew exactly what he was like in and out of school. And unless they spoke to the Post, they covered for him. Maybe even made questionable decisions as directed by him. Whoever thinks a school system has rising stars is a fool and whoever thinks a leader who worked with Joel Beidleman is rising star is also a fool.

Jeez. This is a whole lot of supposition and speculation. Beidleman was clearly terrible, but to say that anyone who ever worked with him is too is a bit much.

Well, I'm against all things MCPS mostly because I'm better about things so I enjoy complaining.

Easy to say when you never actually worked with the man. You either do your job by the book and he gets you placed you on leave/transferred to another school OR you follow his toxic rules in an attempt to get left alone.

It"s an insane thread about administrators in MCPS. Probably started by someone who does not actually work in the school system. If you do then you know that there are quite a few issues with many principals. The first admin listed in the opening post has had many issues with staff at her prior school but you won't hear about that because it doesn't fit the PR narrative the OP is going for. And if you point out how specific principals named in this thread are not doing well or acted horrendously while working for the principal who was ousted for his disgusting problems, then you are just someone who hates MCPS. If you don't want to know, don't ask.

I see nothing "insane" about OP's post. Why would they need to work in the school system in order to ask a question about it?

True, but there are a few extreme posters here that finally have an issue with some traction to grind their axes on. They're like a dog with a bone and want to milk it for every last drop.

I was very much impressed with Mr. Mackall, when he was at Glen Haven as an AP, though less so with the principal. (She's since been reassigned to the VA, where she can do less damage, one hopes.)

Pyles was principal intern at FMS 2020-2021, when the majority of the year was virtual. It wasn’t ‘years’. No idea what she experienced with Joel, or staff opinion, but for her year there, she was very well regarded by families. You cannot not judge her because of him.
