There are 18 principal vacancies with over half are at the secondary level which is pretty scary. I am hoping those in acting roles will interview for the jobs if they are doing well. I also hope they get the support from the directors but central office is such a mess right now I imagine they are trying to keep their heads above water as they cover for those who are on leave. The July appointments and the start of the 24/25 school year should be interesting. We will need Steve Kornacki and his white board to map it out for us.

This. Teachers should be paid significantly more than admins. Then things would start to change.


This is hilarious. Admin don’t even have duty hours in their contract because the expectation is they are working way beyond 40 hours a week.

The first time a teacher was told now you have to stay past your contractual 2:45/3:15 duty day because you now get admin pay, there would be a riot.

lol… you’re not even hiding it now. We get. You’re a principal and you hate your life. You probably were a terrible teacher. So sorry you have to have to stay until 5 while not actually doing anything.

Central office should be a rotational assignment where a teacher goes for a few years. Bureaucracy should never be a career.
