Anyone who hasn't been a teacher for at least five years, a P for at least 5 years shouldn't be in the Central Office. Ever.

The majority of problems faced by MCPS are caused by people who skipped wisdom-building work and blind ambition isn't a substitute.

Who is in line to get the Walter Johnson position? Are any of these truly open or are most going to principal interns and interims?

Nicole Morgan was the Principal Intern and now she's the acting. Most of these will go to the interns/interims. Seneca, WJ, Magruder, and Clarksburg have their people. The only ones that are truly open are Wheaton and Paint Branch. More HS positions will open though, that I'm sure of.

That's not really true. Things are as good as they ever were. Test averages may be down but that has more to do with overall demographics changes that go beyond the county.

All six schools listed have acting principals, and all six positions are currently advertised on MCPS Careers.

Being in the acting role doesn't necessarily guarantee the position. There are still interviews and community meetings to be held. The person may want to stay but sometimes you are "voluntold" to seek another placement.
