I had a Barbie with one of these! I had one Multiples (I think it was a regional variation of Units) outfit and I wore that sleeveless shrimp pink mock turtleneck till puberty meant I physically couldn’t. I would still wear it if I could find another. |
+1 I had a couple. I was soooo excited to go to the swatch store at south street seaport when we were visiting friends in NYC.
|
I had one where the band smelled like banana. Absolutely loved that thing. |
| Oh, had forgotten about my Bermuda Bag and my Swatch! Loved them. Also those barrettes with the ribbons braided through and beads on the end. My mom made them for me. |
|
Units brand modular clothing. Totally flattering jersey. Could do anything with it. Great colors. Wish I had kept it!

I really loved my Eastland topsiders. I also had a Vuarnet t shirt that I cherished. And can't forget my Hard Rock Acapulco t shirt!
|
| This was probably more like 1990, but I had flowered Esprit overall shorts that I was very proud of. |
| I only read a few posts, but yes to the rugby shirt, Bermuda bags and definitely lesportsac!!! lol love this thread |
I had those same ones! My favorite was the guess jeans I had around the same time with the zippers at the ankles and a pair of plaid Bermuda shorts. |
| My Benetton sweaters! Also Multiples! does anyone here remember Multiples - they were my everything! |
| Late 80's carpenter jeans - that might have been early 90's though. |
| All of my Esprit clothing. |
|
The ultimate outfit: black stirrup pants with a brightly colored Venezia sweater from The Limited.
I CANNOT believe we wore stirrup pants. |
|
I was a teenager in the 80s - HS class of ‘87!
Favorites were my V neck Forenza sweater in royal blue (my sister had a green one), Guess jeans with zippered ankle, pointy Mia flats, Coca-Cola rugby shirt, drop-waist linen sundress with white huaraches, a white jumpsuit with red and white cummerbund belt, a shimmery Benetton knit dress… |
| Love this thread & agree the memories are flooding back! I had the Coca-Cola rugby shirt, the purse with the wooden handles, the huaraches, and tons of those turtlenecks with the little animals all over them. I also remember wearing tons of soft brightly-colored scarves with large button earrings in primary colors. |
