They should have left President Carter at home or found a way for him not to be photographed. Very sad and such a great man. And Rosalynn was perhaps even greater than him.

Listen and read the news. All former presidents and first ladies were invited. Obama and George W. Bush chose not to attend and no reason was given. I was surprised that Melania Trump attended though she did not clap when everyone else did.

and Trump, of course. I think it was quite insulting that none of these three bothered to attend.
Not really, it puts more focus on all the First Ladies instead of the Presidents. We will see them all (maybe not Trump) at Carter’s funeral and perhaps one will speak.
Adding that if Bush and Obama had come but not Trump, then the whole story would have been about Trump. This way, the story was on what it should have been: Mrs Carter.

I disagree. It was so noticeable since two did attend.

He turned 99 last month.

Sadly I think losing his wife might end his will to live.

I can't think of a bigger blessing than living until my late 90s with my wife by my side the entire time, her passing before me (so she wouldn't have to mourn me), and me passing shortly thereafter (so I don't have to live long without her).

The Carters are among the most exemplary and deserve every blessing they've received.

Amen!!!

This made me cry. Damn you, DCUM!

+1

Sane people would be distracted by the orange criminal and racists would be distracted by Obama. Better that neither attended.
