When President Carter whether his greatest moment was winning the presidency or the Nobel Prize, he said neither. It was when Rosalyn accepted his proposal for marriage.

+2. I came out to type the same thing.

Sadly yes. He’s been in hospice longer than she was.

I had read that Jimmy Carter's mom helped deliver Rosalyn. Jimmy was then three and met newborn Rosalyn a few days later. I always thought that was amazing. Such a long and loving life together.

He turned 99 last month.

Sadly I think losing his wife might end his will to live.

I can't think of a bigger blessing than living until my late 90s with my wife by my side the entire time, her passing before me (so she wouldn't have to mourn me), and me passing shortly thereafter (so I don't have to live long without her).

The Carters are among the most exemplary and deserve every blessing they've received.

Two lives well-lived. I can imagine that Jimmy held on to care for Rosalynn — to the end.
Lovely people. They walked the walk.

RIP Rosalynn. ✨

+1 so very true

+1 Nothing phony about the Carters
