The T ends at midnight, so kids who party until last call are doing ubers

add it to my bill. we’re expecting $90k all in. Probably more

That’s insane for BC

It’s not an educational institution

It’s a finishing school for catholic kids

It's one of the top feeders to MBA programs, law school, and PhD programs, you moron.

We're in the can pay for it, go ED1. Not even a close call.

Yes there are.

Nobody goes all the way into downtown Boston to go out. The student hangouts are all in Brookline and Brighton. BU and northeastern are all in the same area one or two subway stops away.

Georgetown is a nonstarter because its location - and closer to our house than their high school. Could never convince them otherwise.

I absolutely went all the way downtown to go out. I remember freezing my behind off while waiting for the T in the winter.

For people with more current BC info: are Ubers or cabs relatively easy to come by? When we toured last year the security guard at the gate told us we'd be better off taking the T because it would be hard to get a ride. It seemed pretty odd at the time but we thought it was a good idea for DD to take the T anyway, so that's what we did.

Two of the brightest and most accomplished people I've worked with are BC grads. They have "all around" qualities (brains, charm, drive) that make them very successful in business in particular.

My daughter went to Blessed Sacrament School in DC for middle school and upon touring BC said "this place seems like Blessed Sacrament in college form"

(Not a pro for her, but certainly would be for others!)

For those who know nothing about Blessed Sacrament, what does that mean?

this was my son exactly, who went to a jesuit HS. "if you like X high school, you're gonna love BC!" also not a pro for him (although he loved his HS ... just wanted to stretch)

what do you guys (the 2 previous posters) both mean by that?

For those who know nothing about Blessed Sacrament, what does that mean?

preppy, wealthy/country club vibe, sporty, high achieving people who do care about academics but not necessarily in a "life of the mind" kind of way, people who are maybe not overly conservative in the political sense but more so conventional in terms of interests, lifestyle, etc.

Thx! this is actually describes me son to a tee and he's interested in BC. We (his parents) aren't particularly like this but he's been influenced by his high school and other DC circles he runs in.
