Look, I don't think it's appropriate for schools to actively hide information from parents but it is also true that some trans kids would not be safe being outed.

I wonder if perhaps a reasonable compromise would be that within a reasonable time frame the school must EITHER inform the parents OR if the student's situation may be dangerous then make a report to child services who can monitor. That way there is protection for students in danger but the school does have to make a decision about the specific student in front of them and not just choose inaction as a policy which I think feels like dishonesty to many parents.

Suicidal kids need to be in the care of their parents, not an adult trying to isolate the child away and keep secrets from those parents.

Does your straight cis girl change clothes in the locker room? Does she shower? Or does she change and shower in a stall and never sees any other girls in any state of dress or undress?

She has never mentioned any concern with sharing any facilities with trans girls, literally ever. She has said how weird it would be to share facilities with trans boys (ie biological girls who look, present, act like boys) because she fully considers them to be boys.

Congrats on your kid being brainwashed. Maybe you should have her retake biology.

This policy says that teachers can’t use nicknames without parent permission. I know this is aimed at trans kids. But wouldn’t that also mean that every time a kid named William asks to be called Will the teachers have get parental approval?

Threatening self harm when you don't get your way is tactic of manipulation used by abusers. Same thing here.

If a kid threaten self harm they need medical help and support.....SOMETHING ONLY THEIR PARENTS CAN PROVIDE.

This also though prevents bio girls from competing on bio boys teams. Meanwhile they get misgendered on bio girls teams because they have transitioned and look like "boys". Arlington Karens asking why there's a boy on the team LOUDLY. This happens all the time.

Yes. The anti trans people don't want trans kids to be anywhere. They are just supposed to "conform" or disappear I guess.

Yes teaching and grading papers is your job. Not to isolate students from their parents. And if you really believe that teachers save lives, schools never would have been shut down for 1.5 years during the pandemic. You caused more harm than you will ever take credit for.
