Would you do Orange over Stars or Pride A teams?

I absolutely would. Orange still had seven or eight go to solid D1 programs and the remainder of the girls who wanted to play in college commit to strong D3 schools

Agree that Capital Orange is second best option locally. Recruiting infrastructure in place and if your player excels, she can move up next year potentially.

Capital 25 Orange is having a very good season with many strong players.

Best I can tell for the 24 Class Capital Orange had 8 commits (7 D1 and 1 D3) while the 24 Pride team had 11 commits (9 D1 and 2 D3). I don't think its so clear that Capital O is clearly the second best option.

And lost to the Pride 25 team.

Lost by 1 goal. They play in the same divisions and an A team only beat a B team by one goal. Congratulations.

No email at noon so I guess we’re headed up to Skywalkers tryouts tonight.

This whole narrative was around how Capital Orange was clearly the second best option behind Capital Blue. Its not clearly the second best option. No one is denying that its a good option. Pride team is a also good option to consider for those who are faced with that decision.

One thing is certain if players opt for Orange, they will not be marketed to the same colleges as the Blue players. They can’t be because the club needs to place their Blue players first to validate their team selections.

Occasionally, an Orange player will land at a top school, but this will be more the exception than the rule.

Pride is a complete guessing game when it comes to recruiting. Roll the dice at your own risk. The best class they have had, and probably will ever have, was their 2023s. The club had the talent handed to them and didn’t help at all with recruiting. Some players ended up at top D1 programs but they did this on their own.

Capital Blue is by far the ideal situation. Outside if this go with the team that will play at the highest level in tournaments.

Pride sucks! Go elsewhere!

I remember when the great debate was who had a better team Cap Blue 23 vs. Pride 23 Black? Now the Pride management is admitting that Cap Orange is a comparable option and bragging about a 1 goal victory over Orange. My the Pride program has fallen so much in such a short time.

Does anyone know of your daughter is on a “waitlist” that they will let you know that or just no email until players ahead of them confirm etc

Just anxious for the email!!

Pride is still very strong in MS and Elementary and they consistently play in the top brackets. There is no question its HS program is not top tier and their A teams seem to have found a home playing in lower brackets.
