Rachel Weisz at 48
Hilary Swank at 48 (twins)
Bridgette Neilson: 56

Professor Nargund, MD states, “It is likely that we could see more women having children at an older age in the future"

And all were with reproductive interventions

I think the only one with that was Gryn.

How could you possibly know that? Most women after 45 need IVF and most likely donor eggs, or previously frozen eggs. Of course there a a few exceptions.

What are your complaints about birth control? Because I'm not careful by modern medical standards. DH won't get the snip for religious reasons, and I had a bad reaction to hormonal birth control. So now we're consistently using some risky options and hoping for the best.

Zero issues conceiving our kids at age 38 and 42, if that matters.

Of course it’s possible. If you’re going to have sex use reliable birth control.

Yes, I thought I was well into perimenopause and couldn't get pregnant, but oops.

Be a responsible adult. It can happen. If you don’t want to get pregnant, do the responsible thing and use birth control. Duh!

Yes buT miscarried. Wasn’t trying, obviously. Just thought I didn’t need BC. You need it.

Yes and her son had downs.

If you get your period, you can get pregnant.

So OP, some people know one person who it happened to, but the posters who are telling you it’s very very unlikely are correct. A 1% chance of pregnancy is the same failure rate as condoms.

Holy Moses every woman who got pregnant at 46 or knows one who did is on this thread. The science says only 1 percent of women get pregnant naturally at that age.

In OP’s case I’d be careful since she did get pregnant at 42 - if it happened naturally, that is.

Basing it off whether anyone in your family got pregnant is dumb. You have no clue if grandma was having regular sex.

If you wind up pregnant and want to terminate for medical reasons, you may be forced to carry to term. Or you may have a miscarriage and be unable to seek medical care for yourself until you are "sick enough."

Yes, just scramble that baby’s brains and vacuum it on out.

It’s not a baby. Either an embryo or a fetus. Not much brain at that stage either. Cows have more brain activity than a fetus. Are you vegetarian too, since loss of life triggers you that much?
