factual. we are proud rural republican virginians. please don’t associate loudoun with fairfax ever again.

Poor trolling attempt is poor.

Try harder…

Move to Loudon and trade in a quarter acre lot with a luxury home for a half acre builder grade craftsman. Newer but low ranked schools filled with URM and trumpers. All in the name of saving some money due to inventory shortage. We’ll stick to paying millions.

I don't understand why people "closer in" have such a hang-up with people who choose to live further out. Newsflash- not everyone WANTS to live in congested Reston or Tysons. Some people actually want nice-sized lots and could care less about being close to Tysons Corner Mall. I know you want people to think that we spend our days holed up in our homes with nothing to do, but that's not the case. We actually have neighborhoods and communities and plenty of things to do here. We're not worried about you all, so don't worry about us.

You’ve never been to “Loudoun”. It’s a blue county with highly ranked schools.

I love people who assume “everything that’s not inside the beltway, you must be a Trumper.” people. So obviously clueless and triggered about something.

Mildly curious. Who are these people who move somewhere and then move back in just a year later? Assuming they're not homeowners but renters?

I think a lot of this is cultural. I see most of the people moving to exurbs like Aldie are south Asians (specifically Indians). They don’t mind traveling to DC,McLean etc, as they almost always do car pooling. This reduces the need for them to stay in close in areas. With the transportation issue out of the way, they get more house for lesser price than close in areas. While anyone can do this, White Americans prefer privacy and rather drive in their car alone rather than traveling with someone else. It is just that this cultural preference is playing a large role in the explosion of areas like Aldie and will continue to do so.

I thought those school board meetings concerned schools in the blue part of the county.

Drugs? No, this PP is correct. We’re out in Eastern Loudoun and the poster is absolutely correct. Our neighborhood has shifted considerably in the last 5-6 years with a booming Indian population. This is not racist it’s just the truth and a fact. The newer construction, larger homes and community feel are appealing. This area is shifting rapidly and anyone not acknowledging that simply doesn’t live out here. Anecdotally, my kids were in camp last summer and one day I with an Asian mom who was worried about the influx of Indian families in the community. The next day I sat with an Indian mom and she mentioned the influx of Muslims in the neighborhood. Lol everyone is tribal!

Why does their race matter unless you’re a racist?

Loudoun schools are crap. I know, because my kids go there. Such a mistake.

Loudoun is trash. Anything past Fairfax is the sticks and that’s a fact. I went once to visit a friend a few years ago and I’d never go back.

LOL so many people from Arlington and Fairfax out at the farm breweries in Bluemont yesterday.

NP. The new houses getting built in places like Aldie look just like the new ones getting built closer in. They are simply less expensive and in some cases lower quality and that’s purely a function of the location and jobs. If people have a nice life there most people IRL wish them only the best, including those who need to live closer in and those who have no interest in living that far out. Personally I’ve never heard anyone express the slightest bit of remorse that their circumstances don’t allow them to live somewhere west of Dulles, but great if it works for you.
