MoCo has peaked long ago, seems miserable now (used to live there, would never move back)

I was driving near Shady Grove Hospital in Rockville today. Could not believe all the development I saw!

How awful. They already added 8,000 employees making six figures. In the mean time Montgomery County added no new jobs.

yea, MoCo has no job openings.

several biotech firms have expanded in MoCo. You think they didn't hire?

Moved to Rockville 10 years ago. Amazed at all the MFU and condo new builds since then. Schools bursting at the seams. More MFU construction in the pipeline.

The thing about threads like this one is that they sort of show the obsession some people in Virginia have with a Montgomery County. I lived in VA for a while and didn’t really think much about MoCo at the time. Now I live in MoCo and rarely think about VA. It’s really weird that some people are so obsessed with pretending NOVA is better. Most of us here in Montgomery County don’t think too much about Virginia.

+2 Not originally from DC area, but the MoCo obsession by NoVa people is super weird and screams of self esteem issues. Whoever keeps posting stuff like this has a chip on their shoulder, and very low self esteem. Please seek help.
