This is BS

MOCO is doing fine in this area.

And Virginia is not.

Republicans ruin it all they are going to destroy us wake up. If you don't want to leave the US.

We vote here. We in the US vote election denying is destroying us YOUNGKIN is a lying sob and thank god for the Brick wall of dems.

CRT was never taught in one classroom in the US. He will raise taxes, lose jobs and do school choice. School Choice is not better schools it is padding the pockets of people like his cronies DeVos.

YOU are either an American at this point or a Russian supporter there is no middle ground.

We are not moving to remove the Separation of church & state.
We are not Russia or North Korea.

VA is not better than MD in any area at this point in time because they elected criminals, racists and antisemites.

You seem to be having a hard time separating your political views from your experience of reality

Rockville is exploding with new development -- two new HS opening in the next few years; also see a few new developments for biotech firms being built. I see no slow down where I live.

One of those high schools is in North Bethesda, and the other one is in Gaithersburg. But I guess both of them are in the general Rockville area. This looks promising too: https://www.mymcmedia.org/elrich-umd-leaders-announce-new-research-institute-in-north-bethesda/

That’s just the county paying free rent for UMD to locate some jobs at Pike & Rose. If the county and state wanted to do something transformative, they should build a new UMD health sciences campus, including medical school, at White Flint.

There's no good news about Montgomery County that somebody on DCUM won't immediately explain is actually terrible news.

It’s not really good news when the county is using public money to subsidize developers just to have a small number of jobs for people who probably already live here already.

Didn’t this thread start because someone was complaining MoCo didn’t give enough public cash to developers? So confusing

Why on earth would any county executive let jobs like these walk out the door is beyond me. Doug Duncan - do you have a son or daughter?

But I thought we weren't supposed to hand out money for jobs? Or is it good to hand out money for jobs when we're not doing it, but bad to hand out money for jobs when we are doing it?

Because the County Executive is an idiot and an ideologue. He could care less about growing the county economically unless it's at the tit of the Federal Government. Such a shame to lose another business.
