Wow, 4 drinks every weeknight and 6+ on the weekend is a lot. Good for you for cutting back. I have a maybe 3 oz pour of wine every Friday when I get home and that’s it. I work out 5x a week and drinking the night before trashes my workouts, plus it just bloats you and makes you feel like crud. There’s no real benefit so I don’t do it. I’m sure you’ll feel way better overall cutting back as much as you have. |
About 10-20 drinks in a year.

Right now looks like im running though 3L every three days. And that's being conservative. I know I want to drink to a point of just falling asleep. But I can't. I always wake back up |
This is me too. I’m a social drinker & even then it’s rarely more than 1. I never drink alone. |
Like 2 a month? I never/almost never drink at home in the evenings. |
Prob a glass of wine a week. Sometimes none. Stage 1 BC last May and now it just doesn’t make me feel great with hormones. |
around 3 drinks a night every night.
But..I get up a 345 for a 5 am workout 5 days a week and work full time at a sr level job with a commute. |
I have maybe 4-8 alcoholic beverages per month. I drank a lot more than that during COVID.
When you start talking about your “relationship” with alcohol, it’s time to cut way back, or stop completely. |

NP. Have you tried different sleep aids? Alcohol is actually terrible for sleep. I encourage you to ask your doctor about this. I’m sorry you are struggling. |
What do you mean “but”? One has nothing to do with the other. There are very high functioning alcoholics as well as teetotalers who can’t find their way out of a paper bag. |
Martini and 2 glasses of wine 4x a week.
Give or take a day or 2. I feel fine, I’m 50 I did dry January. Nothing really changed. One or two times a year I’ll drink more like brunch with a Bloody Mary and a beer then also drink at dinner time. |
Typically, I probably average 6 glasses of wine a month. It depends on how social I am. I almost never drink at home. I will have a glass or two if we go out to dinner or I have a social engagement, but rarely more than that. |
I only drink socially. So depends on the week and month. Can go weeks with no drink. When I do drink socially it’s typically max 2 drinks in an evening. Once in a while if it’s a very long night it could get to 3 drinks over the course of the evening.
I do enjoy a drink. I don’t at all like feeling drunk and make sure it never happens. I’ve gone through time periods where I have a drink on a weeknight when cooking etc. Drinking alone. I’m much better off in every way when I’m not doing this. |
Rarely. 1-2 glasses of white wine every 6-8 weeks. I have pretty bad migraines so had to stop. Cannot drink red at all.
