Senator Fetterman has been hospitalized for depression

Once a representative is elected to Congress that is that. The people chose fetterman knowing he has suffered a stroke and they still chose him.

Even voters that chose a rep based on total and complete fabrications, aggressive scams and bald faced lies will have that person until the next election.

Fetterman is very high quality compared to some of the real lowlifes sitting in Congress. You are lucky to have him.

They chose Fetterman in large part because a medical “expert” examined him and said “He has no work restrictions and can work full duty in public office.” Of course, it was later revealed that the doctor was a major Democrat campaign donor. The media showed no interest in asking many questions and pushed a narrative that was plainly wrong, as they have for the past many years. The truth is that Fetterman didn’t seem to have the interest or demeanor to be a legislator before the stroke. The poor man needs rest.

This is true. I am a PA resident who voted for him in primary and general. And I’d do it again because of abortion rights, gun control and stopping climate change.

You are completely discounting his roll in standing up to the republican onslaught against women, and gun control, and working people and immigrants and healthcare and other issues. Oz? Forced birther carpet bagger. If fetterman does not anything more than just stand up for women's rights, his election is more than justified.

remind me what "experts" said about Hershel Walker? The truth is he's brain-damaged and spoke complete and utter nonsense. The poor man needs rest. Thank God a few more Georgian's voted for, you know, the guy with experience.

It seems like a few other people in PA would have been capable of that.

Would you say that if he got cancer or broke his collarbone.

People get sick. Employers have to deal.

Um... yes? Because depression is real, and worthy of treatment, just like if you got into a car accident and hospitalized a month into employment. What is the matter with you?

He said he would be mentally and physically to do the job of being a Senator day 1. He promised his voters. He campaigned on it. He lied. He is unable to do his job. That’s the problem.

He lied, but people voted knowlingly for his lies, so what's new.

He did not know he was going to develop post-stroke depression for God’s sake. That is not a lie.

You can at least be honest, the only way he's standing up for women is by being a Democrat Senator and assuring a Democratic majority, he contributes nothing else. For now he's medically incapable, but it remains to be seen his contributions otherwise. His seat is no less an excersie in votes than George Santos.

Practical question - how will Senate votes be handled while he’s hospitalized? Are the Dems effectively down one Senator?

Not discounting anything, including the media’s roll in standing up to Republicans again.
