Wow really?! I hadn’t read about this.

He has a daughter from a previous relationship with a reality-show actress. He is not a part of the kid’s life and she was not invited to the wedding.

Ugh this is so gross.

“The people who this story matters to have known about it for 10 years. Carter supports this child. While he does not have a traditional father-daughter relationship with her, he has provided for her since she was born, and will continue to do so,” said a spokesperson for Reum.”

He clearly has the finances to ensure he had rights to see his child. That he doesn’t is sad. Seems like he didn’t want this child.

Even if he didn’t want her she exists now. It’s messed up and I have no respect for him.

Is a shitty involved father better than no father involved?

Wait what? A father who bows out is a shitty father.

You can’t make someone be a parent. I was responding to PP’s comment about the daughter existing whether he wanted her or not. So my question is the guy clearly didn’t want the kid. If he was forced to be in her life is it better to have a father involved that’s shitty to your face because he didn’t want you. Or is it better if this person is never in your life?

It’s better if he’s not a POS and cares for his child. He should have gotten a therapist, sorted out his regret over not wearing a condom, and then raised his kid in a loving way. There’s no such thing as “forcing” a parent to be in the child’s life so I have no idea where you’re even going with that. But I have absolutely no respect for him.

Women need to understand that men having sex with them does not mean that they want to father a child. Women need to be in BC and insist that the man should wear a condom. Otherwise? Bye bye baby!

So I guess you don’t like the idea of child support.

NP. Personally, I think men need to be held accountable for every penny of child support, but you can't expect them to be fathers in anything other than finances if they don't want to be. As long as he made his intentions clear to not be a parent but to keep cutting the checks til 18, he's fine. If that was not ok with her, she could choose to not have the child.

+1

+2. Don't feel sorry for his oldest daughter. She doesn't know life with her biological father. It probably isn't a big loss. She's old enough to realize he isn't the greatest and that she isn't missing anything by having him in her life. She may have other father figures she enjoys more.

There are many different types of families out there. Fatherless ones included. It just is what it is. This girl may not be pining away from the father she never had.

Just keep the money rolling in.

Per the Page Six the article the daughter does really want a relationship with her father. I guess she could be lying but if that's the case she is an extremely cynical 9yo (probably due to her dysfunctional upbringing) and I feel sorry for her for that reason

I get that he chose not to have a relationship with her but to have it plastered all over the media that he has been planning and excited to have kids for a few years with Paris? That’s really mean to have to read as his daughter. He is causing her even more pain than he has already. It’s narcissistic.

I agree.

Really? You think that the 9 year old called the NY Post to report on her feelings?? Come on. This is the baby mama trying to get Carter to pay attention to her (and the child) since he hasn't been compelled to in the past. There is no reason that the 9 year old would even need to know anything about this man (except for his medical history) if her mother was actually trying to be a good mother and not use her own child for clout.

It's entirely possible that the agreement he signed with the mother is no contact + a lot of money. It may be HER wishes.

Well he didn’t. And this child is now 10 years old so he’s had plenty of time to come to terms with being a father to this child. And for whatever reason, he’s chosen not to. That’s an unfortunate consequence when you have a child with someone that doesn’t want said child. And it’s the kid that pays the price for being unwanted.

For someone that always dreamed of being a mother and talks about family being so important, Paris made an odd choice in picking her husband.

BioMom may not have wanted his involvement, she just wanted his money. You don't know anything about the situation.

I believe everything some anonymous source (probably the mom's publicist trying to get her name in the news) says.

She's a moron and thought just bc you implant 2 embryos, obviously they will both take. Having some IVF I could not have rolled my eyes harder.

If so he can just have “sources close” to him say so in response to the mom saying he has abandoned a daughter who wants contact. But he can’t actually do that, because it isn’t true.

Hmm I can't tell if you're with a guy who acts like this or a woman raising a child in the same situation trying to reason that your kid is ok. It would take a saint to not be at least a little upset that you're bio dad is gushing about becoming a dad as if he isn't one already. He just picks and chooses when it counts.

Neither of those scenarios. I am an adult whose parents separated when I was around 1 or 2. My father was really not around. You could say I grew up without a father - he definitely wasn't influential in my life. He didn't even provide regular child support.

I wouldn't classify my family situation as bad. It just was. There was also no need to feel sorry for my family situation as a kid. I didn't know any better. I didn't know what it was like to have a father in the household. Like I said, it was just normal to me.

There are recent photos of Paris with what looks like a little baby bump.
Perhaps she has been simultaneously going through trying to get pregnant and going through surrogacy (a la Hilaria).

Wow, this creature gave birth to a kid? I hope it was a C-section - Paris Hilton has genital herpes (there's proof), and she's dumb enough to have a vaginal birth. Either way, that poor baby. He's screwed for life, with or without his mother's herpes.
