What celebs have you met or saw?

Has very ugly aura and energy. Looked pissed off and arrogant. Diana drew you in. She looked deep into your eyes when you spoke to her and did not avert her eyes when talking to you. Very good presence. She was aware that people gasped when they saw her in real life. She had beauty and magnetism. Charles was awkward and uncomfortable. He could never connect with others.

Reading this feels like justice and restitution. Thank you for mentioning your memory of Diana and keeping her good name alive, PP. I liked her, and it's still so gross to me that Charles and his mistress will be coronated this year.

Michael Phelps, super charming and handsome.
Oprah, intimidating and not overly friendly.
John McCain, amazing and a total gentleman
DiFi, sharp as a tack 8 years ago, it's a shame.
Elizabeth Warren, arrogant and standoffish
Marco Rubio, charming, beloved by peers of both parties
Nancy Pelosi, amazing, sharp and witty
John Boehner, funny and friendly
Jerry Springer, friendly and self-effacing
Ted Cruz, yuck
Stony Hoyer, brilliant and total gent as well

I only shook the hands and exchanged a few words with McCain and Warren, but this was my perception as well. It is a reminder that somebody can be wonderful in person but do terrible things on a broad scale, and be awful in person but do good work for society.

I love these threads!

My list:
Dave Matthews (could not be nicer and he initiated a hug with me!)
The Jonas Bros
Newt and Calista (multiple times in development different countries, weird)
The Trump family - Ivanka is indeed incredibly stunning in person
Bobby Flay
Howie Day (he tried to make out with me on his tour bus)
Jack White (he was eating at Bourbon Steak, he openly checked me out in front of his red haired wife at the time and she noticed, yikes)
Molly Ringwald - super rude and didn’t want any common people talking to her
Obama - incredibly kind and funny

Diane Keaton
George Bush Sr
Teri Hatcher

I met David Suzuki in an airport. He was annoyed at being recognized and did not want to talk. After we spoke to him, he held up a newpaper in front of his face until the flight boarded!

- Jon Bon Jovi + wife: saw them in one of the DC museums
- Larry Hogan: shook his hand at a parade

I saw Christopher Reeve at a Broadway show (our town with Paul Newman) in the early 2000s when I was a tween. Saw Philip Seymour hoffman when I went to NYU. Passed Eli manning once - he was filming a commercial or some ad in nyc. Sat next to Marla maples once at a restaurant in nyc during the trump admin (she only drank tea.)

Ive met Ashton Kutcher (in a ski shop in park city when he was much young and promoting the butterfly effect at Sundance), sting (spin class nyc), Joshua Jackson and Rachel brosnehan (in NYc.) Sting was kind of an ass, but everyone else was kind- especially Ashton Kutcher and Rachel brosnehan who both made conversation and made me feel less star struck. Saw SJP filming the first sex and the city movie. Saw julianna marguilles at my coffee shop.

My parents met the Clinton’s at a wedding (also during trump admin) and they were gracious. Also saw Hillary at a local fundraiser when she running for NY senate. Brother saw Jason sudeikis on his flight to Kansas City with one of his kids. A bunch of my friends used to see Matt Damon at a local Starbucks when he lived on the upper west side, and college friends frequently saw Chris noth at the Starbucks at NYU when we attended in the 07-10 timeframe (which tracks with his SA allegations as the campus rumor was that he hit on girls at Starbucks.) saw Wilson at house food shopping in NYC. Have seen others, def forgetting. Somewhat common in NY!

The only person I met was Maya Angelou. She was very nice and called me a "sweetheart." I was 19 when I met her and I was very sweet back then lol.

So true--I have met George W Bush several times through my former job in formal and candid settings and he is the nicest man ever, even though I thought he was the devil politically (and these were the days before Trump). Just an all around nice guy who genuinely seemed to care about the people he was meeting. I can see why he got along with the Obamas even though they're on different ends of the political spectrum.

I feel like he was so jealous of her, and her way with people.

Some friends told me that I hung out with an actor named Christian Ball or something at a party. Seemed like they thought he was a big deal but I don't know who that is. They still mention it.

A friend of mine was in some kind of mommy and me class with Nicole Kidman and her daughter. She said Nicole was lovely and you never would have known she was a celebrity.

Absolutely true. Odd to realize that NK is shy. And truly loving and caring.

Met:
Daniel Dae Kim
Vanessa Wiliams- the most stunning woman I have ever seen
Cuba Gooding Jr
Terrence Howard (horrible tipper)
Ben Folds (very strange but kind, didn't know who he was until he signed his check)
Sam Kass
Kareem Abdul Jabbar
John Boehner (continued to smoke when I told him he wasn't allowed to)
Janet Napolitano
Elena Kagan
Lindsay Czarniak and Craig Melvin
Ann Coulter (surprisingly very polite)
Bill Nye (several times, got wasted every time)
Danny Glover

-used to work at an upscale restaurant in DC

G.W. Bailey picked up my dinner tab in L.A., was seated next to him at a restaurant and we talked the whole time. Not at all trying to hit on me, was just genuinely nice. Not sure if he's considered "famous"

I've heard this about George W. From multiple (liberal) people. I've also heard Laura can be kind of nasty.
