What celebs have you met or saw?

Bumped into Paris Hilton three times in Ibiza and Vegas
Had dinner next to Bono
Saw Jerry Seinfeld crossing the road in San Francisco
Said “excuse me” to Russel Brand when I was trying to get a croissant at one of the Heathrow lounges
That’s it for me. My sister went to homecoming with Zach Woods, but I don’t think I met him. She was also friends with Robert Costa and I did meet him a few times.

Met Spielberg at an event. Very nice man. Met Jon Stewart when I was a student at GW-also very nice. Met Obama,
GW Bush and Carter. Met Jon Glenn at a retail job I had in college and he came into the store to by something for his grandkid. Happened to be in LA the same night as the Oscars in 1997-saw tons of celebrities-Matt Damon, Sharon stone, Ben affleck, Michael Douglas, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jack Nicholson to name a few. Saw dick Clark and his wife at a restaurant randomly in Big Sur.

He was big on Howard Stern for years. I beat him in a joke telling contest at 4 am in a 7/11 parking lot. We had like 20 drinks in us and I was throwing down dirty jokes. Very weird. My buddy with me knows Howard pretty well so weirdly not weird

Met Bon Jovi at his MIL’s house on St. Patrick’s Day. My uncle lived across the street and had a few too many drinks and marched me over to say hi.

OP you guys know a lot of people.

One night I was in a club with Quinteen Tarintino, Lee Majors. Pat Riley and John Travolta was there. That was night I hung out with Evander Holyfield and Sugar Ray Leonard.

Bizarre night. More buzzard a few weeks later I hung out with Joe Montana at 5 am in an after hours bar. That was when Corey Feldman was being a jerk.

A few years later I went to Christina Lawfords house for a part that party had JFK Jr., Susan Luchi, a whole bunch of folks and a few Rockafellers. My friend was the head of marketing at George Magazine and we got invited.

A few weird ones I went to a party in 1989 for a friend who did album covers. He did Aerosmith’s album cover and Steve Tyler was there and Joey Butterfucco! Turns out he did graphic work on side at Joeys body shop. This is before Amy Fischer.

Any Steve Tylor gave me comp tickets he got from Mick Jagger to the steal wheels tour concert at Shea stadium . Great seats.

Funny pre internet celebs and iPhones people went out more.

I also met Bruce Willis a few weeks before he was famous. He was a bar tender at China Club. He already did pilot for moon lightening.

And a lot of wanna bees like the Bagel Boy who dated Cher briefly on a twisted cheated on Cher with my friends girlfriend!! That came to an ugly end.

Celebs are no longer fun

Met and talked to:
Jack Nicholson
Oprah
Hillary Clinton
Bradley Whitford
BJ Novak
Reese Witherspoon
Lindsay Lohan
I think others I can't remember but these are the ones I had meaningful conversations with

Seen in person:
Too many to count, I used to live in LA and saw so many random celebrities at coffee shops, clothing stores, restaurants. Renee Zellweger I saw a lot. Also Connie Britton. Lots of people just once or twice, especially random television actors. For a time I lived in Studio City and used to run into all the CBS television stars at my local Starbucks on a daily basis. So many CSIers.

I would love to hear some of OP's stories. Sounds like OP is an old-timer, judging by the names on his/her list, so OP might have some good stories to share?

I haven't met any celebrities. My life is boring.

Anonymous wrote:Princess Diana and Charles. Diana was a stunner with flawless skin that looked almost pearl like and translucent. Charles is pretty much a red-faced ungracious caricature of a person. Has very ugly aura and energy. Looked pissed off and arrogant. Diana drew you in. She looked deep into your eyes when you spoke to her and did not avert her eyes when talking to you. Very good presence. She was aware that people gasped when they saw her in real life. She had beauty and magnetism. Charles was awkward and uncomfortable. He could never connect with others.

Reading this feels like justice and restitution. Thank you for mentioning your memory of Diana and keeping her good name alive, PP. I liked her, and it's still so gross to me that Charles and his mistress will be coronated this year.

Ex journalist but most of my meets were political types.

Michael Phelps, super charming and handsome.
Oprah, intimidating and not overly friendly.
John McCain, amazing and a total gentleman
DiFi, sharp as a tack 8 years ago, it's a shame.
Elizabeth Warren, arrogant and standoffish
Marco Rubio, charming, beloved by peers of both parties
Nancy Pelosi, amazing, sharp and witty
John Boehner, funny and friendly
Jerry Springer, friendly and self-effacing
Ted Cruz, yuck
Stony Hoyer, brilliant and total gent as well

Seen Gwyneth Paltrow, must have been before Tracy Anderson and she was so skinny fat with terrible posture and just blah.
Most recently I’ve seen Uma Thurman and she looks like a ton of fun, a large woman that just loves life.
