Well, in my case it didn’t—

Child #1 was conceived thru IVF after a few years of active trying and much heartache. I then breastfed her exclusively, until at my 6-month postpartum checkup my doctor informed me that I was pregnant with child #2 (who was conceived naturally before I had started menstruating again). Two kids are less than 13 months apart.
