When did your period return if you EBF?

Anonymous
I EBF #1 for 4 months and #s 2 and 3 for 6 months. After that, we introduced solids, but never formula. At 1 year, we started dairy products for when I was at work or away from them, but I BF otherwise. I completely weaned #s 1 and 2 around 15 months and #3 around 20 months.

#1 - 9 months
#2 - 12 months
#3 - 15 months

Me again - I exclusively breastfed #1 until she was 18 months and stopped with #2 at 8 months and my period returned before I stopped nursing both.

Six weeks--had my period basically the whole time I breastfed both kids, though it was somewhat irregular while I was nursing.

3 months, and I exclusively nursed (she refused a bottle).

at exactly one year for both of mine.

Even when I exclusively pumped and was down to one pump a day, my period didn't return until I stopped expressing completely. A month after my post partum period returned, we had a batch of oatmeal cookies that I snacked on, and it was enough to get me lactating again, and I skipped another period. Hormones are weird.

Right after I started to taper down a bit as I introduced cow’s milk. 14ish months x 2 & 16 months.

4 and 5 months

Never. I got an IUD. Pre-kids, I had super heavy periods.

After 2 years for all of them (5 kids). 3 years with DD2. Mine always returned to normal/like clockwork. They were EBF, never pumped or had any bottles.

So you were nursing for a total of over 10 years? And pregnant for almost another 4 years?

This is so variable. 5 and 6 months respectively for my first two and they were both EBF.
