When did your period return if you EBF?

13 months and still nothing

8 months both times.

12 months both times, even though 1 child was weaned at that point and the other still very much nursing including at night. Period was significantly heavier and more painful, especially after 2nd child. Got an IUD purely for that reason.

2 months despite breastfeeding

With first DD, I got my period exactly one month after she was fully weaned, when she was 11mo.
With my 2nd DD, my period returned when she was 12 weeks old, despite being EBF at the time.

Same. I have a body where the period will always find a way. Breastfeeding? Period. Mirena IUD? Regular period. Extreme weight loss and stress? Period.

About 1 year postpartum. Pretty irregular, though. Nursed 18mo-2years with each child

6 weeks - super fun!

BF but needed to supplement due to low supply/baby not sucking well (so not EBF) - came back at 17 months.

12 weeks with my first and 7 weeks with my second. Nursing around the clock.

+1 mine came back about a month after the last day I breastfed at all (12-14mo per kid). I tapered down to one feed for at least the last month probably.

With my first I nursed (though had dropped to just morning and night) to 12 months. Got my period at 13 months. With my second, we were on vacation at 13 months and I hoped to avoid my period - and to be able to nurse her on the flight - but got my period while on vacation at 13 months. When I went off birth control to try to get pregnant with my first I never got my period. After 6 months I used a combo of progesterone and clomid to get pregnant / jump start ovulation, so my body apparently isn’t in a hurry to ovulate. (Years later I have totally regular cycles - just took awhile to get there.)

Were any of you on birth control? The kinds that don't have estrogen/don't impact breast milk supply?

Around 6 months when baby was eating solid food - both times - same as before despite having a copper IUD inserted at my 6 week check up after each kid.

#1 - period returned around 22 months. I had one period and then got pregnant on the second cycle - it must have been a pretty long cycle, I wasn't tracking. I was surprised at how fertile I was, consider #1 had taken a while to conceive.

#2 - he's 17 months and no sign of period yet.
