Umm did I drink too much and post this without remembering? This is basically what I’ve made recently LOL I’ve also made a few batches of fried apples with the ones we picked earlier at a local orchard. I love your Japanese curry idea, but DH has always found it off-puttingly sweet so I don’t make it much.

Additional future plans are a baked 3-cheese penne dish, crockpot pork shoulder cooked in homemade tomato sauce, and braised Chinese Chee Hou beef with rice and bok choy.

PP you replied to. Ha! Yes, the restaurant kind can be sweet. Perhaps I don't put in as many squares of paste? Also I usually mix medium and hot paste (I would do just the hot, but DD doesn't like it that spicy). Your other dishes sound delicious!

Then the next day boil noodles in the juices
And shred in leftover meat and add carrots and mushrooms leftover too.

I bought a 5lb stewing hen today. Plan to simmer it with whatever vegetables we have languishing in the fridge.

Whoa. Your post and follow up about curry squares all sounds just like me. What else do you cook or bake that’s reasonably healthy? Looking for some new ideas!
