Thanks; I will try this next time! The sale at WF got me.

Bake cornish hen marinated in buttermilk, lemon juice, garlic, cumin, paprika, salt, black pepper and rosemary. Easy peasy and comes out looking super gourmet, IG worthy and lip smacking great. 30 minutes to bake. This is an idiot proof recipe. Just make sure that the inside cavity is clean.

Serve it with a creamy mushroom risotto.

This is a rainy day recipe, an every day recipe, TG for a small group recipe and impress-your-date recipe.

Nothing good has ever come out of Ohio, and chili with pasta is heinous.

44-clove garlic soup.

Is that the one with fennel as well? I love that soup. I also use the immersion blender to get it smooth. A great alternative to plain old tomato soup.

On lazy days like today, grill cheese and tomato soup!

Do you have a good recipe you could share? I am an excellent cook but Asian recipes intimidate me a little!

I've been making this for years. I also highly recommend the author's Vietnamese cookbook.

Thank you! I have some lovely marrow bones in my freezer from my dad’s farm, I am going to try this soon!

Your post made me laugh. I’m from Ohio, though nowhere near Cincinnati. Cincinnati chili is even more heinous than regular chili with pasta. It’s a weird kind of sweet chili served over pasta. I don’t get the love for it, but lots of people love Skyline Chili.

I'm going to add in some goat cheese to the cheese blend like Ina Garten's recipe does.

Will you freeze this before or after cooking?

I'm planning on freezing it before cooking, but open to the wise cooks of DCUM to advise me otherwise!

Well aren't you pleasant?

Cheesy vegetable chowder (Cooking Classy recipe); I make it vegetarian by using vegetable stock instead of chicken stock.

Sounds amazing, especially with the risotto!

What do you all cook when it's rainy and gloomy outside? Soups, stews, roasts, snacks? Any suggestions are welcome.

Made chicken parm and sausage cacciatore with peppers from the garden and mushrooms

I made this Hunter’s Stew. My DH found the recipe and requested it and it was wonderful (I used a little more sauerkraut than it called for and added a little bit of additional spice).

I am planning on tortilla soup for dinner, served with quesadillas and guacamole. A warming meal for a dreary day!
