Best rainy weekend recipes

Anonymous
I'm excited to stay in, cook, and watch movies all weekend, but I'm in a rut with my rainy day recipes. My usuals are boeuf bourguignon, carbonnade flamande, chili, beef and Guinness stew, or baked mac and cheese.

What do you all cook when it's rainy and gloomy outside? Soups, stews, roasts, snacks? Any suggestions are welcome.

There's something about fall that makes me really like cabbage, so I'm thinking about making a cabbage soup of some kind, maybe with kielbasa. We'll probably also have Indian one night. I love the warmth and spices of Indian cuisine in the fall.

Also planning to make something with pumpkin, either pie or bread or cookies. I'm so glad fall is finally here and we're getting a quiet rainy weekend!
